"No paddling" form rule change to take effect in Cumberland Co.

Parents in Cumberland County will have to work a little harder if they do not want their child to face corporal punishment at school.

Last night the school board approved changes to the district's policy.

Right now, all students take the paddling forms home to be signed at the beginning of the school year.

Now, the rule change means parents will actually have to request a "no paddling" form.

That policy takes effect next school year.
